A fun day with people like me.
He does not want to answer any questions except to shout “I LOVED IT!”
My daughter enjoyed the range of activities & the simple sound game too. She loved engaging with the adults doing funky moves whilst walking between different areas.
Parents told us:
Just being back in Westonbirt with The Velcro Collective. I know I can relax and not worry about advocating for my daughter & that she will have a nice time.
Activities were designed in a way which recognised visual impairment and other needs without making them a “problem”.
Leaders were consistently positive towards everyone, and despite the range of age and ability everyone joined in!! I was so impressed.
The afternoon warm up games were child-focused which helped young people to feel that they were part of a “young people” group, making them more independent.
My young person was happy to go off at the end for instance with a leader and some of the other children to play.
Seeing the young person I was with talking directly to other children! A true miracle
